Hans Seidel Foundation

Teresa Pfaffinger has been working at the Hanns Seidel Foundation in the field of civic education since 2018. Especially regarding the youth, her work area is quite broad since she is able to cover any subject in the field of civic education as well as civic engagement. So the range of the projects is from workshops in journalism or media literacy to simulations games, discussions or lectures about current or historical political issues.

After her studies in political science, she started working as a team lead at a sales and distribution company. After a couple of years, she returned to political matters and began working at the Hanns Seidel Foundation as a research assistant in the field of political parties, before she moved on to the field of civic education and engagement.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation is a political foundation that works “in the service of democracy, peace and development” through the provision of political education in Germany and abroad, based on Christian values. Its specialist departments are working in the areas of policy advice, political education, support for gifted young academics and development cooperation (on around 90 projects in 60 countries worldwide). Its educational programs extend beyond party boundaries and are open to all interested citizens.
