Ms. Engelage has been working as a full-time pedagogical staff member at GESW since 2008. She develops and organizes political education programs for different target groups, which she then conducts on her own. Her thematic focus is on German contemporary history and politics, European politics and international relations as well as citizenship education. Ms. Engelage completed her master’s degree (history, political science, Dutch studies) in 2004. As a trainee, she was involved in various exhibitions on the history of the 19th and 20th centuries. After her studies, she worked as a freelancer for the Berlin youth forum denk!mal, which runs various activities around the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, and for the Sachsenhausen Memorial in Oranienburg.
